Tulum isn’t just a dreamy beach destination—it’s also a food lover’s paradise. In fact, when anyone asks us what our favorite food destination is, the answer (out of 19 countries and 42 US States we’ve explored) is Tulum, Mexico! From laid-back beachfront eateries to trendy jungle bars, Tulum offers a variety of dining and drinking experiences. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after a day at the beach, enjoying a sunset cocktail, or savoring an elegant dinner, Tulum has something for everyone. In this foodie’s guide, I’ll walk you through some of the best restaurants, bars, and cafes to eat and drink in Tulum that you won’t want to miss.

If you’re new here, my husband and I have been married for 17+ years and have three kids. We love taking a few kid-free trips a year to strengthen our marriage! Our Tulum trip was a kid-free trip we went on with friends. While we had a fun time, Tulum is not a place I would take the kids in the future. You may have a different comfort/safety level than we do, so to each their own.
