We got the opportunity to visit Branson Landing’s new restaurant, Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen + Bar while in Missouri last month.
Branson Landing is a shopping, dining, and entertainment center located in Downtown Branson right on Lake Taneycomo. There is something for everyone here! We loved the boardwalk along the river. It was perfect for an after dinner stroll.
If you aren’t familiar with Guy Fieri, he is most known as a chef, author, and TV personality. He has been on several shows on the Food Network, one of which he’s had several Emmy nominations!
Guy Fieri’s Kitchen + Bar opened in Branson in late June/early July. Before our road trip to Branson, I’d read some good and bad reviews.
We are small business owners and know from experience that things aren’t perfect right out of the gate. We know it takes awhile to smooth out the kinks. With Guy’s restaurant being so new, we went in expecting things to not be running 100% smoothly. Side note – hats off to any new businesses who opened during ‘rona! We hope you are able to make it through this year and be very successful!
We were pleasantly surprised with great service and of course the food was amazing!
At the time of publishing this post, the restaurant is reservation only. You aren’t able to walk in and get a table. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time!
We had to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation time, but we weren’t in any kind of hurry.
Once we made it to our table, I got to look around at the restaurant. We were right next to the bar, pictured below left. We love how the bar opens up to the patio & how the back deck overlooks the lake.
Our food was SO GOOD. So good.
One of the BEST things for me (as a mom) to see at a restaurant, is something other than the standard chicken nuggets, pizza, pasta, mac n cheese, etc on a kid’s meal. Usually the kids will share an adult meal, but Guy’s had a kid-sized version of their Baja Bowl on the kid’s menu. WINNING! The kid’s each had the Kid’s Baja Bowl and basically licked their bowls clean. The bowl had smoked pork, brown rice, corn, black beans, pico, onions, cilantro, & tortilla chips.
Thank you Guy’s Kitchen + Bar for having a better food option for kids on your kid’s menu!
I ordered The Ultimate Cobb salad, which was delicious and a big portion. I ended up giving my chicken, bacon, and cheese to the hubs because I’m not eating much meat or dairy at the moment. It was so good and still filling without the meat.
I also tried to be adventurous and ordered the Peach Whiskey Mule cocktail. I love peaches and it sounded yummy, but with the first sip remembered how much I can’t stand ginger. I’d forgotten mules are made with Ginger Beer (ewwwwww). The waitress was so sweet and offered to swap it out for my go-to…a margarita. Can’t ever go wrong with a marg. Guess I should stick to what I know and not venture out!
The hubs ordered the Primetime American Kobe burger and they were able to swap out the patty with a veggie burger patty. The Primetime American burger had so many good toppings that he didn’t want to miss out on, but the veggie patty would have made him sick (especially after he ate my bacon & chicken from my salad). I of course helped myself to a bite of his burger. He has no choice but to share at least one bite of every meal of his for all of eternity with me. That’s in the wedding vows, right?!?!
Y’all. His burger was sooooo yummy! The veggie patty was super tasty and those caramelized onions have me wishing we were back there now.
Below is the drink menu and food menu, so you can plan out what you want to order. I read that the Trash Can Nachos were tasty, but we couldn’t have fit anymore food in our bellies.
Guy Fieri’s Branson is open everyday for lunch and dinner. Make a reservation before you go and get ready for some good grub!
