If you’re planning a girls’ trip to Cozumel, Mexico, you need to add a boat tour to your itinerary. Our boat day was one of the highlights of our trip, and I can’t recommend it enough! Keep reading for my take on our Cozumel Boat Tour: A Girls’ Trip Highlight.

Why We Loved It

There are many companies in Cozumel to use for your boat day. We booked with Chac-Choc Tours because it was recommended by our hotel. If you’d like to book a private tour with another company, this highly rated tour on Viator is a private boat rental for up to seven people, and it includes snacks and drinks. If you’d prefer a catamaran over a powerboat, this shared catamaran tour includes lunch and drinks.

For our day, Chac-Choc Tours made the experience seamless and unforgettable. They picked us up directly from our dock at Iberostar, which was incredibly convenient (and saved us the hassle of arranging transportation).

Our guide and photographer were both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The photographer wasn’t just snapping random shots — he was setting up the perfect shot to capture those Instagram-worthy moments. (Pro tip: Purchase the photo package! You won’t regret it. The pictures turned out amazing, as you can see from this post!)

Snorkeling Adventures

If you’re into snorkeling, you’re in for a treat. Our first stop was snorkeling one of the famous Cozumel reefs. We swam alongside rays, a nurse shark, turtles, and even spotted some gorgeous starfish. The marine life in this area is incredible, and the guides did a fantastic job ensuring everyone felt comfortable in the water while pointing out cool sights along the way.

El Cielo: A Slice of Paradise

The second stop of the day was a time for us to relax and enjoy El Cielo. The crystal-clear water was absolutely stunning — the kind of turquoise you see in postcards. It was the perfect spot to sip on a cold beer or soda (both included), and just soak up the moment. To top it off, they brought out fresh fruit and sandwiches while we were in the water — such a thoughtful touch!

Other Activities in Cozumel

If a boat day isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in Cozumel!

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re planning a girls’ trip, a couples’ getaway, or a family adventure, a boat day is a fantastic choice for exploring Cozumel’s breathtaking waters. The combination of relaxation, adventure, and thoughtful service made this experience one of our favorite memories from the trip.

So grab your girls and book the tour!
