Surprise, surprise - we did not win trivia night. Surprise, surprise - we did not win trivia night. 😆 Now when my kids say “ughhh why do I need to learn this?! I’ll never use this.” I can let them know it might be a question at trivia night when they’re “old”.
Our date game is still strong 17 years into marria Our date game is still strong 17 years into marriage. 💪🏼We’ve spent upwards of $10,000 on babysitters in the last 13 years. It’s been one of the BEST investments into our marriage. When the kids were younger, some nights we spent all our date night budget on the sitter & did a free/cheap activity. Date nights don’t have to be fancy! Be intentional and make your spouse a priority. If you haven’t dated your spouse in a while, make a plan to get one in before the year ends. 🙌🏼

🛳️ If this is your first @virginvoyages cruis 🛳️ If this is your first @virginvoyages cruise, here’s a few tips in regards to dining: 🤳Make dining reservations at midnight 45 days before your cruise through your Virgin Voyages app 🌅 (For Miami sailings) Make your first night’s dining reservation at sail away time at either Gunbae, The Wake, or Razzle Dazzle. You’ll be able to see the yachts, mansions, and South Beach as you depart Miami. 💻 The restaurants will likely fill up, especially if sailing during peak season. If you miss making reservations ahead of time, you can make them on embarkation day on the ship. Get in line for this early! 🍴 We love how Virgin Voyages has restaurants all over the ship, as opposed to one main dining area everyone eats in. All the restaurants are included in your cruise price. ☝🏼If my husband was ranking the list, he would have put The Wake at number 1. 🥓 The bacon was really the best we’ve ever had. We went two days to Razzle Dazzle just to eat the bacon! 🤤
🌀 Here we go again. Our initiation to Florida i 🌀 Here we go again. Our initiation to Florida is turning out to be a bit crazy - possibly the worst direct hit to our area (we are west of Tampa) in 100 years 😳 & heres’s what we are doing to prep. We will fill water bottles & bathtubs tomorrow, as well as finish all the laundry.
🌀 Lessons learned from Hurricane Helene: 1. Goo 🌀 Lessons learned from Hurricane Helene: 1. Good neighbors are a treasure 2. You become very creative when you’ve been without power for 50+ hours 3. Someone always has it worse 4. It should be noted in the Florida Welcome Packet that you will most likely need a generator at some point (thankful for a neighbor who let us run an extension cord to their generator to save our food. See #1) 5. It takes a hurricane and two days without power for the husband to purchase a generator, not months of me saying “we should get a generator” 😂 6. Walking around nearby stores with air conditioning was a great idea 7. Sitting in the car for 3 hours this morning with the air conditioning on full blast & a blanket was an even better idea 8. Between the bickering and arguing between kids, there have been some really special & sweet moments. I just had to look for them. 9. Even though the house has been turned upside down, kids are going stir crazy from having three days off school, and it’s 89* inside the house 🥵, you can still take an ice shower because no hot water (but not wash your hair because 🥶) and go on a date with your husband
