Cadillac Ranch has been a roadside attention grabb Cadillac Ranch has been a roadside attention grabber since the 70s. I remember stopping as a kid when we’d travel from Dallas to New Mexico every year to go skiing. There are 10 Cadillacs buried in a field just off I-40/Route 66 in Amarillo. Bring some spray paint (or purchase there if the trailer is open) and leave your mark!

Horsetail Falls - our favorite!
Multnomah Falls - most popular/busiest
Wahkeena Falls
Bridal Veil Falls
Shepperds Dell
Latourell Falls

This area is busy in the summer, so go early! You can easily walk up to most of the falls from the parking lot. Multnomah can be seen from the bottom viewing platform, an easy/moderate walk up to the middle bridge, or a strenuous hike (our kids didn’t do this one) up to the top of the falls. 🥾

Arches National Park - Moab, Utah 🥾Hiking to D Arches National Park - Moab, Utah

🥾Hiking to Delicate Arch:
- Enter park before 7am; won’t need a reservation, there’s no line to enter the park, & it’s much cooler to hike in the early morning
- trailhead is about a 25min drive from park entrance
- you may lose cell service in the park (we did), so have your map pulled up prior
- we arrived to trailhead parking lot at 6:40am and only a few parking spots were available
- strenuous hike with steep climbs, our three kiddos (12/10/6 yr old) did great. It was challenging for all of us!
- carry plenty of water with you. There’s not much shade.
- took us about 2hrs to complete with rest stops, water breaks, picture stops, and waiting in line for arch.

They read some, but these are the other things that kept them busy!
